About Us

CHILDish is an Edmonton-based company that sells and distributes brightly coloured, whimsical and personalized children’s products.

CHILDish was founded in early 2011 by me, Sarah Stickland. I needed a good fundraising project for my daughter’s playschool, so I created a series of personalized dishes. Founded in practicality, quality, and attractiveness, the CHILDish plates and bowls were conceived. They were such a hit that other schools started to ask to use them for fundraising too. The rest, as they say, is history!

My time as Art Director at American Girl (a division of Mattel) taught me what kids love; as a parent, I know what we need. Kids love products that are personalized, that are their very own. Parents love quality things that make daily routines easier and help their children to participate and cooperate.

My first year of business has gone above and beyond my wildest dreams! CHILDish personalized lunchboxes have been featured in Today’s Parent magazine, todaysparent.com, canadianparent.com, and ivillage.ca. CHILDish has also been featured nationally on CityLine TV and locally on CTV Edmonton and BT Edmonton.

I still stay at home with my children but juggle the demands and joys that both career and children bring! You can often see me dashing into a second hand store looking for treasures, starting (but not finishing) a new craft, or running after my children.
