Family Life Planner

In 2002 I was interviewed by a business magazine about my use of electronic planners. This was before the time of smart phones, but I had a fancy Palm Pilot. I explained to the reporter I was not the ideal person to interview since I kept missing appointments and that I had gone back to paper pencil. They used a lovely quote about me missing appointments, sigh.

Through the years I have tried to use an electronic calendar on my computer and smart phone, but I just don't like them. I am a visual person. Having my week layed out in front of me in a book that I can write on with my favourite coloured Sharpie pen is what works best for me. It's November, so I am researching my next planner, and found one that just might be perfect. Moleskine has a Family Life Planner. It has everything I need, a weekly format, stickers and plenty of room for notes. This planner will let me schedule both work and family all in one place. Like all parents, I live a busy life, and this just might be the perfect planner to keep up with me.

Moleskine planners can be purchased at many stationary stores including Papyrus and Chapters Indigo. Sharpie pens can be purchased almost anywhere, but Costco has a large multi-colour 20 pack for just $15.
